I don't really read magazines but I will buy the occasional 'Vogue' or 'Marie Claire' if I'm going on a long trip or whatever but only if it features 'one of my peoples' /fashion icons and possibly if it has some good wardrobe advice.
In terms of books, I have read the 2 books below and I can say that they're very good books, especially for young girls/women as 'deux' has pointed out and they would definitely be considered 'inspirational' to women out there in terms of finding your style and being comfortable in your own skin and style.
I've also flipped through 'Nina Garcia's Look Book' and its pretty good too.
I know we're talking about books and magazines but I watch/used to watch 'TLC's What Not to Wear' with Clinton Kelly and Stacy London and I've found people on the show who mirror my somewhat previous (I'm a work in progress) no style dressing style and I can honestly say that I've taken some of their style and make-up advice and have incorporated it into my future dressing plans i.e. My Michelle Obama style plans tailored to my personal style...
